Sawatdee kah! Chris and I are counting down the hours until we leave on May 2nd for Thailand, The Land of 1,000 Smiles! We are looking forward to a culturally enriching trip with a variety of amazing experiences.
I owe a great deal of abundant gratitude to my Eden Prairie AM Rotary Club, who is helping to sponsor my trip as the incoming President of our Club in July. Thank you, thank you! My intention will be to blog daily during the Rotary Intl convention in Bangkok May 6-9 to share highlighted activities and introspections as I gather with 33,000+ other Rotarians from 160+ countries globally!
I will also try to share a few posts on our extended vacation, where in the surrounding area of Bangkok we'll visit the "Tiger Temple" Buddhist monastery where we might pet tame tigers, take an elephant ride to the Ayutthaya World Heritage site, and tour the Bridge Over River Kwai. We'll then end our trip the last 4 days at a resort on Koh Samui, the 2nd largest island off the Southeastern coast of Thailand, to celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary. Scuba diving (with whale shark sightings!), island adventures, and R&R are on our list to do there!
Gui lah hui mi a de Akha..."see you later". :-) Jane
